Feeling stuck in life can be confusing and exhausting. You may be busy all day without realizing that you’re stuck somewhere, that nothing is moving forward. Being stuck doesn’t mean that you’re failing but you’ve outgrown something. The best part is you don’t have to change your whole life by choosing big steps but with small intentional steps, you can make a change in your own life.
Step 1: Acknowledge You’re Stuck

The first and foremost step is to accept that you’re stuck, don’t blame yourself for being at a place for a little long. Self criticism sometimes kills a person from inside. By accepting being stuck at a particular place helps to unstuck you in your life.
Step 2: Slow Down Before Acting

The world is moving forward in a very speedy run, take a pause, slow down. By slowing down, you’ll be able to understand your emotions better. Journal your thoughts on paper, pause and think. These quiet moments will relax your mind and help you declutter your thoughts.
Step 3: Ask One Honest Question

Start with one question and not many, circle around that question to understand the problem and the thoughts which keep on degrading your mind. By summarising the whole problem with one question instead of many will help you much better to get through it.
Step 4: Start With One Tiny Action

Start with tiny steps, forget the whole thing and focus on the step you’re taking. These tiny steps instead of forcing your whole self to declutter the problem will help you in many ways. It reduces overwhelming emotions and helps to rebuild confidence.
Step 5: Let Go of Perfection

You’ve to always keep this in mind that consistency and progress matters more than being perfect. Perfection is a myth and consistency is a key. Don’t worry about doing the thing perfectly but keep on doing that particular thing regularly. Let go of unrealistic expectations or of being perfect.
Step 6: Change Your Environment

Your environment plays a vital role in your mental health. Clean your personal space and keep it digitally detox for a while. Go on a walk and not stay at home for too long. It affects your energy and focus without you even realising it.
Step 7: Remove One Friction Point

Instead of pushing yourself harder, remove one obstacle. Unfollow draining content, today your workspace, or simplify your routine. When life feels easier to navigate, taking action stops feeling like a fight.
Step 8: Revisit What You Want (Not What You “Should” Want)

What you keep on repeating, your mind accepts that these are facts you are repeating. So, instead of repeating what you don’t want, tell yourself the things you want. Explore values, personal values and other things. Learn to let go of unrealistic expectations and live with reality and standards that are achievable.
Allow Yourself to change directions

It is your life you can choose any path, and can even change it if it is not suitable for you. It is okay to change directions, normalise it. Stop blaming yourself for the change and respect your decision without guilt.
